Team GB Vs. New Zealand

On the 23rd June, some of our ladies 1XI team traveled to London to watch Great Britain's womens team end their FIH Pro League campagin on a real high; with a fantstic 3-1 win at home to New Zealand.
It is said to have been the teams best performance of the season in front of more than 11,500 people, at Twickenham Stoop. Goals scored by Lily Owsley and Hannah Martin.
Both on and off the pitch it was a hugely memorable day for the sport, with a young group of British women performing well on home soil in front of the biggest home hockey crowd the nation has seen since the London 2012 Olympics.
However, it wasn't just Team GB smilining as our girls got the chance to meet their hockey role model, Welsh International Midfielder; Sarah Jones!! Sarah Jones, willingly signed their Welsh flag (addressed to us as a club) and posed for a picture; leaving the girls feeling starstruck and saying "Sarah has made my day"!!
