Bingo Fundraiser
Posted by Nobody on 20 February 2019
This season saw the club introduce a new scheme, where in each hockey season (September-April) we will chose a campaign and an interlinking charity to fundraise and raise awareness for alongside our club. The money we raise could help change a life and provide that all important help and care so desperately needed. By selecting a charity each season we are going to help more people in need likewise, spreading awarenss not only in our club but the wider community.
We will conclude our Mental Health campaign with our last fundraiser for this season on, March 30th - 6pm at Carmarthen Athletic Rugby Club. Due to the success of our Bingo last February, we've decided to bring it back in the hope that this will be even bigger and the hope we can finish with another full house!!
Our event is open for everyone to join and have fun with a charge of £5 per bingo book, There will also be a raffle for £1 a strip with all proceeds going to MIND Cymru and our club.
Mental health is becoming an increasingly common issue in today's soceity affecting thousands of people worldwide. We previously fundriased for MIND Cymru last February 2018 - Bingo, November 2018 - Pub Quiz which leads us to conclud in March 2019 - Bingo. There have been several interclub fundriasers within these dates. However, it was our first ever fundraiser in February 2018 that made us want to do more to help make a difference. From what we've seen and expereinced through our contact with Mind Cymru, they are the best people locally working towards aiding mental health in the area, alongside smaller charities such as; Get The Boys A Lift with whom we've kitted our team out with training tops.
It's small events like these with the support of others that keep charities going!
So the question is, will you help us make a difference?
